From Catania Airport:

Follow car park around to the left, to the exit. Turn right and continue straight on uphill to the overpass, following large green signs for "Tangenziale Ovest" and A18/A19 Autostrade. Keep left at the first fork on the overpass, following the same green signs for approximately 5 kms. At the large junction for "Tangenziale" (ring road), go to the right following green signs "A18 Messina". Continue for 17 kms to the end of the ring road and to the "Catania Nord" tollbooth of A18 motorway. Collect the ticket at the booth and proceed on the motorway for approximately 40kms. Leave at the exit for "Taormina", after paying toll.

After the tollbooth, at the fork, keep left for "Taormina" (large white sign). Follow this winding uphill road, staying in the right lane. Approaching the town center, it narrows and becomes very steep. Keep right at fork to Via San Pancrazio (compulsory one-way road) and continue uphill. At the top of this road you will see an archway leading to a traffic free "Corso" directly in front. When you arrive at Porta Messina Archway turn right, going uphill, then turn immediately left, where you will find a limited access sign. You can proceed on this road as Grand Hotel Timeo guests are allowed to enter with no time limit. At the end of the road, where it forks, please stay on the left and follow the signs for Grand Hotel Timeo and "Teatro Greco" (Greek Theatre). The hotel is near the Greek Theatre.
