Hacienda Sepúlveda was built in 1684 and the charming owner, Juan Alfonso Serrano has been renovating the property for the last ten years! Located on the outskirts of the small colonial town of Lagos de Moreno in central Mexico, this property instantly takes visitors back to a colonial era with its beautiful grounds, original woodwork, vaulted ceilings, and working farm. Hacienda Sepúlveda offers 11 suites, all of which are decorated differently in an elegant colonial style. The hacienda has a pool, lake, horses available for horseback riding, and a newly opened spa. One of the special services available at the spa is a Temazcal treatment, which is an ancient purifying steam bath that has been used by the indigenous people of Mexico for centuries. The cuisine served at Hacienda Sepúlveda is traditional Mexican and the in-house chef uses recipes that have been passed down through the Serrano family throughout the decades. The service at Hacienda Sepúlveda is exceptional and surprisingly enough, due to the high altitude of this property, it is ideal for both summer and winter escapes!
