Situated in the center of Rome on the Piazza Barberini (entrance on side street intersecting the Piazza), just steps from the Via Veneto and the Via Sistina (which leads to the Spanish Steps), this intimate hotel underwent an amazing transformation in 2000 and 2001. In addition to adding more rooms, many accommodations have been redone with beautiful fabrics (JDB clients are assigned the best rooms), new bathrooms and all amenities. Junior suites are really gorgeous and have marble floors and bathrooms and whirlpool tubs. There is also a small bar off the lobby that serves afternoon tea as well as aperitifs in the evening. Breakfast is served in what looks very much like a restaurant next door but is connected to the hotel; however, the only meal that is served there is breakfast. JDB has had many favorable comments about the location of this hotel, and clients feel it is a good value. In fact, it has become one of the most frequently booked of JDB's Rome hotels. Packages are available for honeymooners, Christmas, summer, and weekends, depending on the time of year.
