Hotel Byron

Located in a residential area, the Hotel Byron, comfortable, quiet and unpretentious, has the reputation for being the best hotel in Forte dei Marmi. With only 30 rooms, each completely different from the other, it is across the street from the beach and has a lovely garden with large swimming pool where guests can dine outside for lunch and dinner during warm weather. When we were there recently, everywhere you looked, there were fresh flowers - in the gardens, in huge pots and in vases throughout the hotel. The owners are often on site, attentive to the needs and comfort of their guests. Bicycles are available for the enjoyment of the guests. The atmosphere is relaxed, the kind where a personality as well known as Elton John felt at home instead of constantly pursued. For families, there are three garden suites, each with two bathrooms. Garden suite number 6 is the largest and can accommodate up to five persons. In 2001, the Byron created new bi-level suites in the main building with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The hotel's restaurant is EXCELLENT, and features meat, seafood and homemade pasta, as well as a menu that changes daily (important for long stay guests). Free parking at hotel depends on availability in their parking lot.
