Hotel Poseidon

With an excellent position overlooking the town of Positano and beyond to the sea, the Poseidon is another family owned and managed hotel, but one that offers a less expensive option. The Guinot beauty center – the first on the Amalfi Coast – offers facials, body treatments, pedicure and manicure as well as a whirlpool and Turkish bath. Some rooms have either terraces or a balcony, and many antique furnishings are used throughout the hotel. Standard rooms have garden view while other rooms have a partial water view. The hotel’s small pool is glass enclosed and has a ‘50’s look but boasts an excellent sun terrace. Three meals a day are served in the hotel’s restaurant with a beautiful outdoor terrace and pergola. There is also a lobby bar with piano or violin music several nights per week. With the town of Positano just outside the hotel’s entrance, this is an excellent choice for families. Children are welcome here.
