Located just a five minute walk from the town of Amalfi, this family-owned and managed hotel enjoys a spectacular position on the cliffs at the edge of the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel's pool is perched on the edge of the sea, and there is a platform where swimmers can access the sea quite easily. The hotel is surrounded by terraced gardens and lemon groves for which the Amalfi Coast is famous. The hotel has an excellent chef who has been there for many years and who receives rave reviews from the guests, preparing typical meals as a special promotion at the Plaza Hotel. Lunch is served near the pool and offers an excellent variety of items, including pizzas, antipasti, grilled meats and fish and dessert. Most of the spacious accommodations have sea view terraces or balconies; deluxe rooms and suites offer jacuzzi tubs. One of the most special and private accommodations at the hotel (perfect for honeymooners) is "The Chalet", high on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean and reached by a walkway shaded by lemon trees. The one-bedroom bi-level cottage has a living room with full bath, a bedroom with jacuzzi tub and separate shower, plus a private terrace on each level facing the sea. The hotel's fully equipped fitness center also faces the sea. Hotel has an excellent longtime staff. Hotel is open year round.
