With an excellent location next to the Hotel Danieli facing the Grand Canal, this hotel has become one of JDB's most popular in Venice because of its fair rates given its position.
Some years ago, the hotel began its transition from a three-star to a four-star and now features fresh flowers in the lobby, well-appointed rooms, and a very responsive longtime staff. Housekeeping is excellent.
The most popular accommodations with JDB clients are the beautiful junior suites that face the Grand Canal, some of which have small balconies. All rooms feature warm wood trim, fine fabrics, upholstered walls, satellite television, mini bar and in-room safe. The tiled bathrooms, while not extraordinary, were renewed at the same time as the rooms.
The hotel does have many rooms without canal view which are less expensive and popular with families. A restaurant within the hotel also faces the Grand Canal and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Rado family who own the hotel also own the popular La Madonna Restaurant, located a short walk from the Rialto Bridge.
NOTE: SAN ZACCARIA is the closest stop for guests taking the public vaporetto.
