Hotel Villa Zuccari

Hotel Villa Zuccari is a newly opened, luxuriously appointed property located in a valley between the hill towns of Montefalco (3 miles) and Trevi (7 miles). The grounds are beautiful with rows of cypress trees, hedges of aromatic rosemary and roses, and pansies (seasonal) at every turn. There is a large outdoor pool surrounded by a spacious patio for use during warm weather months. The main bar has a beautiful mural painted on the walls, and its light and airy atmosphere make it an excellent location to enjoy the hotel's bountiful breakfast - at times homemade pastries are prepared by the hotel's owner!
Accommodations are spacious and wonderfully decorated with Murano chandeliers, period furnishings, and faux painting. The bathrooms are fabulous and include gilt-framed mirrors, beautiful tile work, and Carrara marble. A JDB favorite is La Torretta (Room 500). This honeymoon suite is in a tower setting and has a jacuzzi tub within the bedroom, a lovely balcony, and a lot of privacy...ideal for a romantic getaway.
A few steps away from the main building is the cottage, "La Casetta". The furnishings are a bit more rustic here, but are very comfortable. There is a small kitchen with a dining table seating up to eight persons, a refrigerator, four burner range, oven and dishwasher. The kitchen can be rented along with one, two or three bedrooms within the cottage. Because of the kitchen, breakfast in the main house is not included for the cottage rooms, but guests can pay for it on an a la carte basis.
