Il Falconiere, a four-star hotel located in the countryside just outside of Cortona, is composed of several buildings dating back to the 17th century and was once the home of the famous Tuscan poet Antonio Guadagnoli. Accommodations are located in the "country house" and each room is uniquely decorated with period furnishings; some rooms include original frescos. Chef Richard Titi runs the restaurant, Limonaia, which specializes in regional cuisine and boasts one Michelin star. The restaurant has a charming terrace with spectacular countryside views that is used for outdoor dining from May through September.
