Located near Lake Iseo in the Franciacorta area, this stunning 19th century villa is the creation of the Moretti family who own two local vineyards producing exceptional wines. The attention to detail here is incredible. Frescoes have been painted in many areas giving warmth and interest to an otherwise plain wall or hallway. Furnishings are a blend of contemporary pieces as well as antiques from the 18th and 19th centuries. The gardens with original sculptures are not to be missed The main villa has a beautiful indoor pool with waterfall, Jacuzzi and a glass wall that opens during warm weather. There are many terraces and spaces (some with marble fireplaces) for clients to relax or enjoy an aperitif. Included among the accommodations are 28 suite type accommodations including two-bedroom suites. In the Torre del Lago wing, there is even one deluxe room with a fully retractable roof for stargazing from one's bed! The hotel's fabulous 4500 square foot spa is state-of-the-art with a huge fitness center (with trainer available), a large indoor swimming pool with whirlpool, sauna, steam bath, and every manner of health and beauty treatment featuring the products of Dr. Henri Chenot. Anti-aging therapies as well as regenerating body and face massages are also available. Other diversions include tennis, billiards and a very tempting gift shop. The hotel's famous restaurant, Gualtiero Marchesi, open six days per week, boasts two prestigious Michelin stars. Hotel guests are advised to book a dinner reservation at the time their room is reserved because the restaurant is often sold out weeks in advance. Light lunches are available during the day in the hotel's attractive bar and lounge area where there is often piano music in the evenings. Complimentary tours and wine tasting at two local vineyards, Contadi Castaldi and Bellavista, can be easily arranged.
