To get to the hotel you must drive through a very narrow arch on a steep slope; the right way is to keep your left wheel on the stone track you will see on the street ground, using 1st gear. (Remember to switch off air conditioning to increase engine power).

COMING FROM NORTH:

If you come via Cassia, reach Bolsena lake than go to Bagnoregio. Turn right to Viterbo and keep this direction. After approx. 4 km. you will find a sign indicating 10 km to Civitella on your left. You will pass the sign “Vetriolo” then you find Civitella d’Agliano.

If you come via A1 motorway, leave it at Orvieto and go left direction “Todi”, “Castiglione in Teverina” etc. After 1 km. you will find a brown sign “La Tana dell’Istrice”, turn right under the railway bridge, direction “Castiglione in Teverina” again, after 7 km. you find a large crossroad: proceed straight on to “Castiglione in Teverina”, “Civitella d’Agliano”. In 3 km. you get to Castiglione, where you will find the sign for Civitella straight on. After 5 km. turn right at the crossroad and you will reach Civitella in 6 km.

COMING FROM SOUTH:

From Rome Fiumicino airport:

Follow green motorway signs for Roma. After approx. 13 kms you will reach the junction for the GRANDE RACCORDO ANULARE (GRA ring road).

From Rome Ciampino airport:

Turn right out of the airport, proceed straight across a set of traffic lights and for a further 200 meters. Take the right hand exit signposted TUSCOLANO which takes you on to the RACCORDO ANULARE. Proceed along the ring road until exit no. 10 FIRENZE A1, leave the ring road here and follow green signposts to the A1 motorway. Get off in ATTIGLIANO turn left direction VITERBO/BOMARZO. After 2 kms turn towards CASTIGLIONE IN TEVERINA/SIPICCIANO. After approx 14 kms at the stop turn left for CIVITELLA D’AGLIANO. Proceed along the street and after 6 kms you reach Civitella d'Agliano. On the main square turn right before the bend and follow signposted for La Tana dell’Istrice and you will reach the hotel.
