Nestled between the many coves that outline the coast of Mexico's Pacific southwest state of Jalisco, Las Alamandas is an ultra exclusive resort that prides itself on being the perfect getaway for those seeking relaxation, privacy, and pampering. This private paradise consists of 1,500 acres of exotic trees, palms, flowers, wild birds, lagoons, and a mile long beach surrounded by lush mountains. The resort consists of 14 rooms, which are spread out between suites and villas accommodating a maximum of 28 guests. The largest villa, Casa del Sol, consists of two junior suites and a main living area. This villa can accommodate up to six persons and each suite has its own private entrance and terrace. Guests can spend time sunbathing by the beach or enjoying spa services in their suites. For more adventurous guests activities such as horseback riding, mountain biking, bird watching, and boat trips are available. The onsite Oasis restaurant serves fresh and healthy Mexican and continental cuisines. The array of fresh seafood is delightful and the ceviche is particularly delicious. Upon request the Oasis Restaurant can prepare an elaborate dinner on the beach complete with mariachis and torches. Las Alamandas is located two hours south of Puerto Vallarta and 90 minutes north of Manzanillo. For true jetsetters, the resort also features its own asphalt-landing airstrip capable of accommodating small aircraft such as a Lear Jet 28. The resort has been frequented by celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, and Robert De Niro.
