From Florence: From Highway A1 heading south take exit VALDICHIANA/BETTOLLE, which is the second exit after Arezzo. After the tollbooth turn left and continue 7 kilometers. You will arrive to TORRITA DI SIENA. At the traffic light turn left and after 1 kilometer turn right following the directions to Montepulciano. When you arrive to Montepulciano, at the turn-about turn left and after 2 kilometers you will arrive at the stop sign of the crossway CHIANCIANO/PIENZA/DOME OF SAN BIAGIO. Continue straight in the direction of PIENZA for a HALF MILE and on your left you will see the sign "ORTAGLIA" on a pine. Turn left and continue for 300 yards.

From Rome: From Highway A1 heading north take exit CHIUSI-CHIANCIANO, the second exit after Orvieto. After the tollbooth, at the stop of the crossway turn left and continue following directions to Chianciano Terme. After 7 kilometers you will arrive to Chianciano Terme and you will proceed, without any detours, to Montepulciano. After 7 more kilometers you will see the crossway sign: MONTEPULCIANO centre - DUOMO DI SAN BIAGIO - PIENZA. Proceed veering to the left in the direction of Pienza for 600 meters from the crossway and, on a pine on the left side of the road, you will see the sign "Ortaglia". Turn left onto a small country road and proceed for 500 meters.
