The Beaufort in Knightsbridge is the perfect hotel for those looking for a great location (100 yards from Harrods), personal attention, privacy and lots of special touches that make one feel at home. Breakfast - warm croissants and rolls, homemade jams, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee or tea - is served in the room. No dressing for breakfast here! There is always something tempting - and complimentary - in the lounge - English cream tea with scones in the afternoon, complimentary drinks from the resident bar from 3:00 until 11:00 p.m. - to enjoy while reading or just relaxing. Flowers - in frames and in vases - abound. The air-conditioned rooms are furnished with the guests' comfort in mind, including many little touches such as biscuits, apples, bottled water and chocolates. Each room also has a shoeshine kit, a radio/CD player, and satellite television. Clients booking the junior suites for a minimum of four nights can avail themselves of one complimentary limousine transfer to or from the airport. Guests can request a fax machine/answering machine and computer jack in their room. The hotel can also provide tickets to museums and access to one of London's top health clubs. The front door of the hotel is locked and each guest is given a key so they can come and go as they please. The Beaufort has changed ownership and the new owners are doing a wonderful job upgrading this little gem of a hotel. New bathrooms have limestone floors and marble vanities, and many rooms have new carpeting and soft furnishings as well. The Beaufort really goes the extra mile in providing guests with a "home" in London.
