JDB Private Transfers With Sightseeing do not have to be booked in conjunction with a hotel booking. Most vehicles used are Mercedes E-class, V-class & 16 seat minibuses. However, JDB Ground retains the right to substitute a different vehicle type if necessary. Tour itineraries are subject to change due to site closings, inclement weather, strikes or other unforeseen circumstances. JDB Ground reserves the right to substitute a venue or site during a tour in the event the scheduled site is not available. In rare instances it may be necessary to reschedule the starting time of the transfer; in such situations, clients will be notified in advance.
Entrance fees to museums and exhibits are not included in the rate unless indicated, nor are gratuities for drivers and guides.

Amalfi Coast to Rome With Sightseeing
5-8 Hours
Depart at 9:00 a.m. for a leisurely drive to Rome and take advantage of stops along the way. Choose up to two of the following four options, available daily unless otherwise indicated in the description.
NOTE: Combining Reggia di Caserta and Pompeii options will increase the transfer time to approximately 9-9 1/2 hours.

Option A: Cassino Abbey Tour
Visit an ancient Benedictine site, situated on a rocky peak about 80 miles from Rome. In 529 St. Benedict established his first monastery here, the source of the Benedictine Order. Destroyed in WWII, the monastery has been completely restored. As this is a religious site, appropriate attire is required. The tour guide will be provided by the Abbey.

Option B: Reggia di Caserta Tour
Of all the royal residences inspired by Versailles, Reggia di Caserta bears the greatest resemblance to the original. Begun in 1752 as the palace for the King of Naples, it has 1,200 rooms, including two dozen state apartments, a large library, and a theatre modeled after the Teatro San Carlo of Naples. It has been the location for several films, most recently Angels & Demons. Included is a 3 hour private tour of this UNESCO World Heritage site and its gardens.

Option C: Pompeii
Completely destroyed and buried by volcanic ash during the violent eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD, Pompeii provides an extraordinarily detailed glimpse into city life at the height of the Roman Empire. See the Forum, mosaic tiled baths, merchant shops and even villas during a two hour private walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Option D: Buffalo Mozzarella Tour
Visit a Mozzarella production site to learn how this unique cheese is made. Considered the very best variety, Buffalo Mozzarella is used to make the famous Margherita pizza, named in honor of Queen Margherita. A professional translator will explain the process, and then you will enjoy a tasting of this fabulous cheese.
