Unless otherwise indicated in the tour description, tours begin at either 9:30 a.m. or 3:00 p.m. and are available daily. Highlights of Palma 4 Hours Meet your driver and guide at your hotel to begin a tour of Palma de Mallorca, the capital of the island and a city that is open to the sea. Start with a drive along the Maritime Promenade to Bellver Castle, the only circular shaped Gothic structure on the island, and enjoy a lovely panoramic view of the city. The next stop is Palma's Cathedral, constructed between the 13th and 14th centuries and one of the finest examples of pure Gothic architecture on the continent. Enjoy a guided tour inside the Cathedral, then learn about the Almudaina Palace, a monument which was converted from an Arab fortress into the residence of the Kings of Mallorca. Your guide will point out the most important aspects of this monument from the outside. You will then begin a walking tour through the Gothic Quarter of Palma, which is situated by the Cathedral.
