Located in one of the handsome 18th century buildings on the Piazza della Independenza, this little three-star is a gem and offers great value for the center of Florence. Access is through a frescoed entryway into a very tastefully furnished lobby area, immediately off of which is a small charming bar. Continental buffet breakfast is served on the lower level. The welcome here is warm, as this is another family owned and managed property. Opened as a hotel in 1992, this could easily be a four-star hotel. It has many attractive features such as some very nice antique furnishings, double pane windows, soundproofed doors, immaculate bathrooms with heated towel rods, satellite television, mini bar, in-room safes and internet connection. For families, there are doubles connecting to doubles or triples. There is also a small rooftop terrace. JDB started working with this hotel in 2001 and our clients love it. There are a few special rooms that the hotel is kindly reserving for JDB clients.
